Interop audit, 2026-10-24.

"Låst för svar" says more than the protocol does. #292 sets no-comments (aux 4). Protocol A: "the author requests that nobody comments the text. This is advisory only; it is still possible to write comments, but clients should advise the user" (Protocol-A.texi, no-comments [4]).

  • NeoKOM's composer only advises ("Författaren har bett om att inte få kommentarer."), which follows the spec.
  • The labels say "Låst för svar" / "Inlägg N är låst för svar" (words.rs). A NeoKOM author may believe nobody can reply, while Emacs and jskom users can comment as usual, and Emacs only asks for confirmation.

Options:

  1. Say what it is: "Ber om att inte få svar" / "Svar undanbedes", for both the author's switch and the readers' notice.
  2. Keep "Låst", with a note that other clients can still reply.
  3. Enforce it in NeoKOM only (refuse to reply). Stricter than the protocol, and still not enforced for others.

  1. Say what it is. is the better way to go for compatibility and shared expectation between clients.

Do as emacs does and ask the user if they really intend to add comments to the post.

Merged in #386. "Låst för svar" is now "Ber om att inte få svar": the author's switch ("Be om att inte få svar" / "Sluta be om…"), the chat's notice and the status lines. Replying anyway asks first, as Emacs does ("Författaren vill inte ha svar. Svara ändå?"): Svara and Svara privat on the post (buttons, keys, cards), and the chat's reply field on Skicka. The field is no longer hidden. lock.spec (ask, cancel keeps the text, yes opens the composer, stop asking) and compose.spec pass on all profiles.
