Every car's look is derived from its id, so the fleet is varied but impersonal. A paint shop at the bike repair stand or the service yard lets a player choose a body color, a couple of stickers and a bell tone, and the choice travels with the vehicle. It is the cheapest kind of identity: everyone can see whose cart is whose.

How it fits. liuverse-scene already derives car looks from the id; a customization is an override for the same fields, packed small. VehiclePose is the natural carrier, but it is sent often; a separate paint message sent once per change keeps the pose lean. The shop is an interaction at a baked prop, and the preview is the same model the scene draws.

Scope.

  • A paint and sticker picker with a live preview.
  • A compact customization payload, append-only on the wire.
  • Derive a default for unpainted vehicles so the fleet still looks varied.
  • A bell or horn tone choice, audible to nearby players.
  • Offline customization persists for the session.

Related. #198 (party identity), #174 (ID card), #221 (lights).
