A floating name is enough to avoid calling someone "you". It is not enough to remember them. Looking at a player could show a small card: their name, what they are riding, the building or zone they are in, how far they have travelled this session, and how long they have been here. It is a conversation starter, and it makes a familiar face recognizable across a session.

How it fits. The poses already carry position, stance and vehicle; the baked world already answers "which building am I in". The card is a HUD panel driven by local derivation, so it costs no wire bytes. The one missing fact is when a peer joined, which the client can record the first time it sees them; a welcome timestamp would make it exact.

Scope.

  • Aim at a player to select them; a small card near the crosshair.
  • Derive building or zone, distance, current ride and session time.
  • Show an activity line ("skating", "sitting", "flying") from the stance bits.
  • A wave or high-five action from the card, reusing the emote path.
  • Keep it local and private: no profile server, no history.
