assets/3d/nature/ships Clover, Fern, Bush and Flower glTF models thatnothing loads:
config.rsincludes the tree models only. The instancing path inSceneSpec::treesalready does exactly what they need.Eye-level ground is bare polygons, which is why walking across campus feels like
walking across a model rather than a lawn. A campus also has weeds, bushes and
flowers at the edges of every path.
Place instanced clumps deterministically from position, on grass near paths and
tree bases, excluded from paths, pads and building footprints. Fade or cull by
distance so the far field keeps the cheap ground, alpha-test the foliage, and let
them receive shadows but not cast (the shadow map is static).
Related: #18 and #46 add the areas these decorate. #83 is the surface they
stand on; #87 is the same instancing trick with tint variation.
