The campus edge is not all campus, and the difference is mapped:

1 landuse=allotments (Valla koloniområde, a relation: allotment gardens)
 1 landuse=orchard (Fruktträdgård, with trees=)
 1 landuse=farmland 1 landuse=construction
1 leisure=nature_reserve (Vallaskogen, with boundary relation + wikidata)
 1 boundary=Slaka 6 boundary=Ryds distrikt
 1 boundary=Linköpings domkyrkodistrikt

allotments, orchard, farmland and construction are all absent from
area_kind, and Valla koloniområde is relation-only. Fruktträdgård (orchard
garden) carries a trees tag.

Vallaskogen is a real nature reserve on the campus with a boundary relation, a
lst:ref, a wikidata id and its own website -- it is the hill the campus sits
on, which is the terrain the bake already grades every building against.

grass covers none of this: an allotment garden is a grid of plots and sheds,
not a lawn.

This bundles three different things: the orchard is about 90 m from campus centre and is a real campus-edge feature; Vallaskogen is the hill the campus sits on and is relevant; the allotments and farmland are private or incidental bbox fill, and the construction site is a temporary thing that should not be baked. I'd split the orchard and the reserve out, and drop the allotment/farmland part unless the world is meant to include the koloniområde. "Bake the gardens" is too broad to land.

Current area_kind still ignores landuse=orchard (39916966 Fruktträdgård, trees=apple_trees), allotments (the Valla koloniområde relation), farmland (121295994) and construction (3 ways). Vallaskogen is a type=multipolygon relation. The orchard and the reserve are the campus-edge parts worth keeping; the allotments, farmland and construction site are private, incidental or temporary. Split before working.
