Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
User (2026-10-20): asked whether users can delete or deactivate their accounts themselves; "Yes, file it. For after 0.5" (D-054).
Protocol A allows it: delete-conf (11) on your own mailbox deletes the person, since every person supervises their own mailbox (lyskomd
delete_conf: access must be "unlimited"; elisp's kom-delete-conf does the same and says "you have deleted yourself"). There is no "deactivate" in the protocol.What it does, to be said plainly before anyone confirms:
Plan: "Radera mitt konto" on your own profile, behind a confirmation where you type your name; then logged out, a remembered login and kept password forgotten (keyring / browser), drafts and the local search index for that person removed.
Before building: ask Lysator's admins whether they want users to do this themselves, or to ask them (they may keep member records). Labelled needs/user for that.
We have the green light for allowing users to remove their own accounts. Removing needs/user label
Merged in #388; main run #743 green. "Radera mitt konto…" sits at the end of My account on your own profile. It lists what happens, then needs your name typed out and your password (checked first). It then deletes the person (delete-conf on the mailbox); lyskomd logs out all your sessions. This device forgets the account's drafts, mentions, kept password, remembered login and search index, and the login screen says the account is deleted. Verified: devserver test
delete_me(wrong password changes nothing; then sessions logged out, person gone, name free); delete-account.spec on all profiles. Tried only on the devserver (D-007). On the way: the devserver tests that touch the server FAQ no longer race each other.
