Unread reply cards become read after their end has been on screen for 1 s, or once scrolled past after being on screen; space then skips them. Not in the background, not when the reading column is hidden; never-shown cards stay unread; seen cards keep their whole-post look until reading moves on. New seen.spec.ts; thread.spec opts out (steps card by card). Full e2e locally: 277 passed, 8 skipped.

The user: like a chat app, posts scrolled past should be read; being
taken back by space to a post just read is confusing. An unread reply
card now counts as read once its end has been on screen for a second,
or once it has been on screen and is scrolled past. It's marked read on
the server, so the default action skips it. Nothing counts in the
background or with the reading column hidden, and cards never on screen
stay unread. Seen cards keep their full look until reading moves on, so
nothing shrinks under the reader.
