Path ribbon colour is currently fixed by class: bike paths green, walking
paths brown, roads grey, chosen by the lift constants in mesh.rs:38-40 and the
albedos in liuverse/src/config.rs.

1419 ways carry surface:

814 asphalt 169 paving_stones 141 ground 79 compacted
 58 fine_gravel 39 grass 24 gravel 22 dirt
 19 concrete 11 paved 11 unhewn_cobblestone
  9 woodchips 6 sett 5 pebblestone 1 tartan
  1 artificial_turf 1 rubber 1 metal 1 wood

A university plaza is paving_stones and reads as brown dirt; a gravel track
through the woods reads as tarmac. BakedPath would carry the surface class
alongside its width, and the ribbon albedo would come from it -- the same
AREA_HEIGHTS ladder already keeps overlapping ribbons from z-fighting, so the
lift stays put and only the albedo moves.

Scope is the ribbons. highway=crossing paint is #17.

The ribbons are textured now. The albedo is still by highway class.

The path ribbons carry generated surface textures (a42169a): bike paths and roads get asphalt, walking paths get gravel, and the lit fragment takes its normals from the tile's height field. A path is no longer a flat polygon.

The colour is still fixed by class, though: bike green, walking brown, road grey. The surface tag is not read for paths at all, and the extract has 1419 of them: 815 asphalt, 170 paving_stones, 141 ground, 79 compacted, 58 fine_gravel, 39 grass, 24 gravel, 22 dirt, 19 concrete, 9 woodchips, 6 sett. So a plaza that is paving_stones still reads as brown dirt and a compacted track through the woods still reads as tarmac.

Reading surface and taking both the albedo and the tile from it is the same shape of change as the sports-surface work, and the area kinds already carry their surfaces.
