highway=stepsis dropped by every filter in the bake: it is notfootway/pedestrian, notcycleway, not a road (main.rs:74-86,is_roadatosm.rs:169). The campus extract has 19stepsways, on acampus that climbs 66 m to 96 m.
Most are short (5-13 m, two nodes each) with
surface=concreteorpaving_stones, which reads as real outdoor staircases between paths ratherthan map noise.
The terrain is a graded height field and
collision::GROUND_STEPis tuned to it,so a staircase is exactly the kind of thing the current ground collision cannot
express -- which is the interesting part. A baked
StairRun-style ramp(
liuverse-world::circulationalready has the shape) with real tread geometrywould give the campus a way up the hill that is neither a fly nor a graded slope.
