Wind is a physical force; kites and model rockets are how you feel it. A kite on a windy day, a rocket on a still one, and a field to launch from: both are small, physical toys with a clear payoff. They also give the wind field something to act on besides trees.
How it fits. The wind field from the vegetation work (#186) is the input; a kite is a tethered body with lift and drag, a rocket is a projectile with a thrust phase and a parachute. Both can use the existing ball and flight math. The field and the sky are already there.
Scope.
Related. #186 (wind), #215 (balloon), #214 (drone).
Implemented.
liuverse-sim::kiteis a wing on a line, lifted and dragged by the campus wind with the hand as tether;liuverse-sim::rocketis thrust, coast, apogee, parachute and landing with the wind drifting the chute, and retrieval is the ordinaryEinteraction. Rockets launch from the AutoMat racks (c4ffdca) and kites from the inventory (b6c6bdd); a rocket left somewhere unreachable returns to the shop instead of stranding the player. Closing as done.
