Snow is a weather state; a snowball fight is what makes it a social one. When snow lies, players can pack a ball, throw it, and leave a splat; enough snow can be rolled into a ball and stacked into a snowman. The point is not damage, it is the noise, the chase and the thing you built together.

How it fits. The throw arc is already in liuverse-sim::throw; a snowball is another projectile with a different mass and a splat effect. The snow layer needs a "how deep" field from the weather, and the splat is a decal. A snowman is a small stack of scene objects, owned by the server or by the player who built it, so everyone sees the same carrot.

Scope.

  • Pack and throw when snow lies; a short cooldown and a visible ball.
  • Splats on bodies, walls and ground; no damage, maybe a brief slow.
  • Roll a growing ball and stack a snowman with a few props.
  • A muffled, crunchy footstep bed while the snow lies.
  • Depends on the weather work landing (#47, #48).

Related. #48 (snow), #190 (tracks), #187 (seasons).
