Autumn is the one season that gives the ground something to do. A pile of leaves is an invitation: run through it, kick it, bury a bike in it. It is a small interaction that makes the season change feel physical instead of just a palette.
How it fits. The season work already changes tree tints and scatters leaf litter; a pile is an area with a depth and a scatter response. Walking through it throws a few leaves, jumping into it bursts the pile, and a rake can gather it again. Leaves are local cosmetic instances, so no authority is needed.
Scope.
