The best moment of a rainy day is the one after it: the sun comes out, the air is full of water, and a rainbow appears opposite the sun. Halos around the sun and moon are the same kind of reward, and they cost nothing but a shader.
How it fits. The weather system knows rain, sun and the camera's view direction. A rainbow is a screen-space arc centered opposite the sun, gated by rain and a low sun; a halo is a ring around the sun or moon in the sky shader. Both are present-pass effects, like the drone feed, and neither changes the simulation.
Scope.
Related. #48 (rain), #189 (puddles), #219 (fog), #220 (thunderstorms).
Closing as not planned. This is not something the project cares about.
