The soundscape knows about vehicles and footsteps, not about places. The reserve should sound like wind and birds; the road like traffic and a bus; a lecture corridor like ventilation and distant talk; the water like lapping. A zone-aware ambient bed is what makes walking from one part of campus to another feel like a journey.
How it fits.
liuverse-audio::soundscapealready derives sound from the world state;BakedWorldknows the areas, buildings and rooms under the player. Add a small set of generated beds — filtered noise, bird chirps, hum — and crossfade them by zone, height and time. Voice and music duck the bed, not the other way around.Scope.
Related. #194 (acoustics), #195 (bells), #218 (wildlife), #219 (fog).
One outdoor bed exists.
liuverse-audio::ambiencesynthesizes a wind bed and a canopy rustle from the wind field, closes them down under a roof, and mixes them beside the effects (b3e9722,b6c6bdd).The zone split is still missing: no reserve, campus-core, road, indoor or water beds, no crossfade by the area under the listener or the time of day, no ducking under voice, music and events, and no quiet bed for study rooms. The issue stays open with the outdoor air as its first bed.
Closing as not planned. This is not something the project cares about.
