Events are the most social thing in the game, and they vanish when the results screen closes. A replay theater records the last moments of an event and lets everyone watch them again from a free camera: the goal, the tag, the photo finish. It turns a one-off into a story.

How it fits. The server already receives every pose and owns the event clock. A ring buffer of the last stretch of an event is enough; the replay is the same pose interpolation the clients already do, with a different camera and a timeline. The client's scene is deterministic from the baked world, so a replay needs only poses and the event metadata.

Scope.

  • A server-side ring buffer of poses and scores during an event.
  • A replay mode with play, pause, scrub and a free camera.
  • Auto-highlights for goals, tags and the finish.
  • Optional slow motion and a scoreboard overlay.
  • Keep the buffer bounded; replay is a highlight, not a demo recorder.

Related. #173 (duels), #179 (Grand Prix), #180 (skate), #200 (records), #206 (spectating).
